Our Objective
Objectives for Social Welfare and Public Good
The Trust has been created for Charitable purpose and the subjects of the Trust include relief to the poor and under privileged by supporting in education, medical relief and providing free accommodation and assistance to travelers, provide food to the deserving people, advancement of Indian Cultural and Literature, service of the country for the benefit of the Nation and the advancement of any other subject of general public utility. It shall be lawful and competent for the Trustees to give donations to the other Charitable Trusts and Institution and the Trust shall be for the benefit of all persons belonging to whatever community, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The objects of the Trust will not include object involving the carrying on of any activity for profit within the meaning of Income-Tax act. 1961.

Theatre
Dharam Sajjan Trust has hosted iconic plays like “Tumhari Amrita”, “Dayashankar Ki Diary”, and solo acts by Piyush Mishra and Ashwatthama JD. With festivals, workshops, and productions by Ank, Ekjute, Salim Arif, and Firoz Abbas Khan, the trust continues to celebrate theatre’s cultural richness.
Literature
Dharam Sajjan Trust has hosted iconic literary moments, from Gulzar’s first poetry recitation to Mushairas with legends like Kaifi Azmi and Nida Fazli. It also partnered with Siyahi and Jaipur Virasat Foundation for international festivals, and launched Javed Akhtar’s Lava with Vice President Shri M. Hamid Ansari.

Women Empowerment
An interactive session on Women Empowerment was held at the MTS Centre with renowned actor and activist Shabana Azmi. Organized with Mahila Mandal units across Rajasthan, the event featured discussions and a play on the life of activist Irom Sharmila, inspiring reflection on resilience and equality.
Tribute to Martyrs
Dharam Sajjan Trust honored martyrs with “Hamaare Chiraag”, where 35,000 citizens lit 12,000 diyas on Diwali. “Viranjali”, an exhibition-cum-sale of gifts from Shri Ashok Gehlot, raised funds for Kargil families, reflecting collective respect and gratitude.
Education & Medicine
Dharam Sajjan Trust has aided organizations in rural Rajasthan working in education, medicine, and hygiene. It honored teachers with musical felicitations on Teachers’ Day in 2010 and 2011, and partnered with TV99 group for a quiz contest to inspire learning among youth.

Knowledge Sharing
Dharam Sajjan Trust’s series “The Best Teacher in Life is… Life Itself” featured inspiring talks by Zohra Sehgal, Asif Iqbal, Raj Sethia, and Amar Singh. Their journeys, moderated by eminent personalities, shared powerful lessons of courage and wisdom.
The vision of the Trust is “To create a better tomorrow than yesterday”.

Dharam Sajjan Trust is formed in the memories of Dharam Chand Chopra and Sajjan Devi Chopra, who in their lifetime immensely contributed to the society at large.
